Q Music Dance Lessons: are informal and designed for the absolute beginner. So, if you have never taken a dance lesson, you will feel right at home. The lessons are 45 minutes long and we will try to start on time. Details below.
Our Goal: is to teach you the very basic steps to some club style dances, such as Bachata, Merengue, Salsa, Cha Cha, Hustle (Disco) and three Line Dances. Club style means you will be dancing in a small area on a crowded dance floor, not traveling around the dance floor, ballroom style. We encourage you to practise these new dance steps during the evening and have some fun.
What you will achieve: We do not expect you to learn a new dance style in just 45 minutes but you will always learn something new that you may wish to incorporate into your dance moves. We encourage you to attend each of the lessons multiple times, as they are never the same. We explain general dance terms and technics that are common in many dance styles. So, even if Salsa is not your thing, you will still learn about timing, how to lead and follow, be light on your feet and how to execute a variety of turns.
